I Can Use ‘Because’ to Explain- VCOP Kids Video
A short video by the VCOP Kids to help your students to use the because word to add more detail.
We hope that this mini-lesson will allow you to set up an independent activity listening and following along with Jaz, while you take your focus group. You will need to teach the students to pause the video to complete the sentences at the discuss points, before moving on to the next step.
Connective is an umbrella term used to identify words or phrases that are used to join clauses, thoughts, paragraphs, and ideas together. Connectives can be conjunctions, prepositions, or adverbs.
Because is a subordinating connective (if, when, however, because, while) they link the main clause with a subordinating (or dependent) clause.
